Nanban movie - Don't miss it !!!

Nanban ' is a mere remake of '3 Idiots' and Shankar might have not even glimpsed through the pages of the novel as it was revealed through some sources prior to release. There is no point in drawing comparisons between the original version '3 Idiots' and the official remake ' Nanban '. The reason is that certain themes become universal and it savors to the tastes of universal audiences. And when it comes to 'Love', 'Friendship' and any social issue, it instantly gets into everyone's senses.

Chetan Bhagat's 'Five Point Someone' was conceptualized with such a theme that didn't just speak about someone's identity, a special person, but about the strong theme about the pressures of youngsters through their academic career. Life becomes a race for many of us that lead to wrong perception of 'success', which ultimately results in the depression of mind.

The Movie opens with friends ' Venkata Ramakrishnan (Srikanth) and Sevalkodi Senthil (Jiiva) going in search of their friend Panchavan Parivendan aka Paari (Vijay). They journey across the exotic locales of Ooty to find their lost one. What follows next is the trip within on how the buddy changed their lives: endowing them with a desire to hook upon their passion and not to run blindly behind success.

For those who have already seen '3 Idiots', it will take few moments to settle down and nearly post-intermission; it gets a grip as lots of drama happens there. After 'Jeans', Shankar has tried a mild melodrama without any action sequences. The absence of Sujatha is felt very much as his dialogues were some of his best assets in Shankar's movies and this time it's quite missing as the writers have just translated the lines from original version except few witty-liners.

Technically, the Movie has a beautiful picturing by Manoj Paramahamsa and grading of colors especially for the songs is captivating. Harris Jayaraj fails to work best in his background score while songs may not be so much enjoyed by fans, but works to the best with Shankar's grandiloquent factors.

The best scenes of the Movie '
1. The suspense during intermission
2. Srikanth convincing his father, Jiiva at interview
3. Vijay and his friends curing Jiiva
4. Birth of Anuya's baby
5. A surprising twist in climax

On the whole, Nanban is a good entertainer with lots of commercial ingredients that comes with a strong message as a package ' Don't run behind success, Follow your heart, Discover your passion and develop your skills into it, Success will come behind you.

In the end, Nanban is an engaging film with noble intentions. Don't miss this film as it deserves to watch .
